When it comes to divorce,
you have options.

Avoid costly and stressful litigation with Collaborative Divorce.  With Collaborative Divorce, you will:
  • Negotiate a full settlement agreement prior to ever filing with the Court or stepping foot in a courtroom;
  • Have the ability to draft your own court order with your spouse;
  • Avoid the contentious disparagement and negative "tit for tat" of traditional litigation;
  • Maintain dignity and minimize disagreements that impact your children;
  • Be able to focus on healing and getting closure with divorce and your life moving forward.
In most cases, you only have a simple 15-minute final hearing.
Handle the divorce on your own by filing it yourself.  A Pro Se ("pro say") Divorce means that you file without an attorney.  You can file on your own if:
  • You have no minor children with your spouse or born during the marriage;
  • You have no property or debts for the Court to divide;
  • You are not seeking alimony;
If you believe you qualify, check out this free online tool for more information.  You can also sign up for a free How To Divorce Clinic by contacting SC Legal Services' office nearest to you.
